Hezbollah: We targeted Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv with a ballistic missile
Shafaq News/ Hezbollah announced on Wednesday that it had launched a
ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv,
escalating tensions in the ongoing conflict with Israel.
In a statement, Hezbollah said it fired a "Qader 1" ballistic
missile at 6:30 AM, “in defense of Lebanon and its people.” The strike
allegedly targeted the headquarters responsible for the assassination of
Hezbollah leaders and for the detonation of radio communication devices, which
the group has attributed to Israel.
The exchange of missile and air strikes between Hezbollah and the
Israeli military has entered its third day, raising fears of a wider regional
conflict. The violence began after the detonation of Israeli-attributed radio
devices in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon and Beirut have reportedly
resulted in hundreds of casualties and thousands of injuries, while Hezbollah
has retaliated by firing missiles at Israeli settlements.
