Kurdistan Region subjects Mosques building to conditions
Shafaq News / The Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs of Kurdistan Regional Government, Peshtuan Sadiq stressed on Sunday the necessity of building mosques in the region according to the new instructions issued by the ministry.
Sadiq said in a speech today, "We encourage the construction of mosques but according to the new instructions, and the conditions issued by the Ministry of Endowment," indicating that the construction of the mosque must be appropriate in terms of Sharia and construction, and it is not permissible to build mosques in order to achieve personal benefits as some does.
Regarding the monitoring of some unwanted cases, the minister said, "There are things that are inconsistent with our customs, including films that were shown in some places. We have addressed the Ministry of Culture, and they have responded in this regard by subjecting the films to purification or banning from showing."
