Parliamentary Regions committee rules out deteriorating security to postpone elections
“The postponement of the parliamentary elections is ruled out, as the current security situation in some provinces is not an emergency or a news situation,”The decision maker , Ziad al-Threb told " Shafaq News “.
“The insurgency rises in intensity at times and decreases at other times, therefore does not constitute a motive for the postponement of the elections,” he added.
politicians predicted that the Supreme Security Committee in charge of the security of the elections would submit a proposal to postpone the elections next April because of the decline in the security situation in some provinces such as Anbar and Salahuddin .
The statement of politicians reinforced the expectations of the leader of the Sadrist movement , Moqtada al -Sadr , who has expressed his concern of the day that the government intends to postpone the election because of security operations .
The parliamentary elections will take place on 30 of next April.
