Kurdistan region prohibits importing honey

Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in Kurdistan Regional Government decided to ban importing honey in response to a request made by beekeepers in the region.
According to a decision issued by the Minister of Agriculture , Biard Talabani, the ban on importing honey to Kurdistan will enter into force on 25/9/2019 until further notice.
The minister issued the decision at the request of organizations and gatherings of beekeepers in the region because of the abundance of domestic production of honey, so beekeepers couldn’t sell it in the markets inside and outside Kurdistan.
