Kurdistan Region announces the production of one billion and 250 million table eggs

Shafaq News / The Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Sulaymaniyah Province announced on Thursday the production of one billion and 250 million eggs in Kurdistan Region.

"We demand that we stop the introduction of chicken and eggs from the imported table into the region," the chamber adviser, Wasfi Khalil said in a press conference held in Sulaimaniyah, noting that with the ban imposed on the two items, but we still note the availability of the importer from them inside the local markets.

He called on Kurdistan Regional Government to have a special market for poultry and eggs because there are many poultry fields with an increased demand for more fields.

Khalil said that Kurdistan Region produced one billion and 250 million eggs, noting that the region has increased the rate of egg production by 500 million table eggs.
