KRG: We are waiting a response from Baghdad to implement a joint plan to receive displaced people from Syria

Shafaq News/ Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Tuesday the preparation of a joint plan with the federal government on the reception of new displaced people due to the military operations launched by Turkish forces in northern Syria.

"We are ready to provide sustenance to displaced people from Syria, but our potential is limited," KRG Spokesman ,Jutiar Adel told reporters, calling on the international community to support Kurdistan region in its relief and reception process.

He added that" KRG has a joint plan to receive the displaced", adding that "we are waiting for a response from the federal government to put the plan into effect."
