KDP demands the presidency of the region's parliament to consider the referendum day as a national occasion
Shafaq News/ Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) called on Wednesday the presidency of Kurdistan Parliament to consider the anniversary of the independence referendum day very year as a national occasion.
The head of the bloc , Omid Khushnau said in an intervention during the Parliament session held currently that "from the practical side , 25th of September has become a national occasion, Kurdistan celebrates it."
He added that the decision of the referendum was ratified within the parliament, and we ask the presidency of the parliament to make the referendum anniversary as a national day for the people of Kurdistan.
For her part, Speaker of the Parliament , Ryuaz Faeq said that members of parliament, if they wish this anniversary to be a national day, as there is no objection to the preparation of a draft resolution in this regard.
