Shafaq News / On the anniversary of doctor’s day and in the name of the birth anniversary of Avicenna, the council of the Kurdish province of Sanandaj in Iran suggested to name one of Hamadan's streets after Hazar Mukriyani, the Kurdish poet, writer and translator.

The council said that Mukriyani had translated Avicenna's book "Law of Medicine" from Arabic into Persian.

Hamadan province lives in a mixture of Kurds, Lak and Lurs, and was the capital of Iran during the Buyid dynasty.
