Warnings escalate from ISIS activity between Diyala and Kurdistan

Shafaq News / Specialists in Diyala warned on Saturday from the return so-called "ISIS state" in the northeastern borders of Diyala with Kurdistan region after the attacks growth and security events in Diyala.

"ISIS is still trying to restore and restructure it in the joint triangle between Diyala, Kirkuk, and Salahuddin in Hamrin and Makhoul rugged mountain areas, which are the best hiding places that security forces have not entered since 2003 until now," security expert Murad al-Azzawi who is a retired officer (Major - general ) said in an interview to Shafaq News. .

Al-Azzawi considered the escalation of recent operations in Diyala regions as a prelude to a large plan to return  ISIS bases in Diyala within the so-called "ISIS mandate" to coordinate operations and support among the elements in the border and remote areas northeast of Diyala.

In turn, the media official of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and the head of the security committee in the dissolved Diyala Council, Sadiq al-Husseini, accused the American forces of facilitating the flow of weapons to ISIS elements in the mountains and rugged agricultural areas in Hamrin Basin, Diyala border – Kurdistan -Diyala border, Kirkuk and Salahuddin..

"More than 90% of the weapons and equipment that we found in American-made security operations can only be reached to ISIS with the approval of the American side and through  its planes that deliver supplies and equipment for ISIS groups in Hamrin basin, north of Diyala."

Al- Husseini did not rule out ISIS initiation to revive its "terrorist" states between Diyala - Kurdistan, Diyala - Salahuddin within the security-hot "Matybijah" enclaves.

To that, Wasfi Al-Tamimi ,the director of Qarah Tippa district, 115 km northeast of Baquba called to seize the coastal enclosures in Hamrin Basin, and not to be satisfied with periodic operations.

Al-Tamimi called in an interview to Shafaq News, "The need to control the land to prevent terrorist groups from resuming their activities or return to their security strongholds, noting that” the security forces carry out continuous operations, killing, arresting and destroying dens, but they do not control the land or maintain its security."

Al- Qaeda and ISIS organizations in Iraq have formed what are called "states" and are the headquarters for managing and directing attacks and armed operations to target civilian targets in administrative units and security sectors.
