Nujaifi agrees to include the budget law on Thursday’s session

, the approval of the Speaker of the parliament , Osama al-Nujaifi on the inclusion of the initial budget bill as a first paragraph for the second reading at Thursday’s meeting.

The Parliament session scheduled for today has been delayed for lack of quorum , according to sources .

“The Head of State of law coalition, MP Khalid al-Attiyah and the member of the coalition, Khalid al-Asadi met with parliament Speaker , Osama al-Nujaifi and submitted a request to include the second reading of the Iraqi draft budget as the first paragraph on Thursday’s session ,” The MP of State of law , Hassan al- Yasiri said in an interview with " Shafaq News “.

Nujaifi has agreed on the demand to include the budget as a first paragraph, and called MPs to submit a request signed by 50 MPs to implement the order to include the budget for a second reading; in preparation for voting.

Approving the annual budget of the state in spite that the country entered March of the current year ; due to differences among the political blocs represented in the parliament , as observers and politicians are concerned that delaying the budget would be exploited as a factor in the election campaign for some blocs , as only few weeks are left on the general election.
