Dijla Operations Command announced at the end of last month regaining full control of areas in Sulaiman Bek sub-district by “Daash " elements after a week of fighting, according to a statement of leadership.

Abdool told “Shafaq News " that " the situation in the center of Sulaiman Bek sub-district is stable and the security forces closed all exits to it and dug a trench to prevent any entry of terrorists."

He added that “many families didn’t return to their homes because of being mined by elements of Daash.”

Sulaiman Bek, was one of the cities ravaged by Daash militants in the past in efforts to acquire lands to establish an Islamic emirate.

Militants have stepped up attacks in a wide range since last year to record highest level of violence since 2008 , which form the biggest challenge for the Iraqi government since the departure of U.S. forces at the end of 2011.

The Iraqi government has allocated last month, a huge financial rewards for anyone who kill or arrest any of the " jihadists " from foreign fighters within the ranks of al-Qaeda , or the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant " Daash " , a former branch of al-Qaeda.

According to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense site , a reward of up to 17200 U.S. dollars will be given from anyone who kill Daash element , while $ 25,800 to arrest one.
