Kurdistan alliance: Baghdad - Erbil crisis needs U.S. intervention
The National Alliance has agreed on the inclusion of the law of the financial budget for the current year on the agenda of the parliamentary session scheduled for today to read it a second reading and accelerate voting on it.
A member of the bloc , Qassim Mohammed told “Shafaq News", that “ several external parties have entered into the line of the oil crisis between Baghdad and Erbil, including the United States , so there no option but to reach an agreement between the two governments to end the problem .
He added that the remained problem between the center and the region is the financial revenues issue , as the region is demanding to deposit its share of 17 % of the financial budget in the Central Bank of Iraq branches in the region , while the federal government require to deposit the imports derived from the oil export of the region in the Development Fund for Iraq .
The Iraqi Parliament has conducted a first reading of the country's financial budget last Sunday in conjunction with the anniversary of the bombing of Halabja city with chemical weapons .
Kurds are boycotting the sessions , in which the revenues’ budget is mentioned on the agenda for protesting on an item that compel Kurdistan to pump 400 thousand barrels of oil a day, otherwise it will face a truncated portion of the budget.
The Head of Mwaten parliamentary bloc , Bayan Jabr al-Zubaidi announced on Monday , the formation of 3 MPs committee to discuss the problems of the budget.
Mwaten bloc demanded on Tuesday , setting up counters on the oil wells in the country , it seems that this claim comes to end the differences between Baghdad and Erbil on oil file .
