Shafaq News/ The deputy secretary general of al- Abdal Movement, Kamal al-Hasnawi revealed on Monday the details of the air strikes, which targeted Iraqi armed factions inside the Syrian territory.

Hasnaoui told Shafaq News that "the air strikes took place at 12 p.m. and the planes were launched from al-Tanf American base, as these aircraft were monitored."

He pointed out that "these aircraft targeted Iraqi resistance factions stationed on the border between Iraq and Syria, and that the shelling was inside Syrian territory because these factions are located inside the Syrian territory in coordination with the Syrian army and the Syrian government."

Hasnawi added that "the air strike resulted in the death of six people , wounded about 18 others and destroyed a number of mechanisms and observatories that monitor drones," adding that "the number of air strikes against the factions were about six strikes."

An Iraqi security source announced on Monday delaying the opening of Al-Qaim border crossing between Iraq and Syria due to the aerial bombardment that the Iraqi armed factions have faced in the Syrian Albu Kamal area.

"The aerial bombardment on the Iraqi armed factions inside Albu Kamal area on Monday night may delay opening Al-Qaim crossing, which was scheduled to open today or tomorrow," RT TV channel quoted a source.

"No official date has been set yet for the new opening and it remains until further notice,” he added.

Earlier today, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that unidentified aircraft killed 18 members of the Iranian forces and their affiliated factions in Albu Kamal area.

The headquarters of the armed Iraqi factions in ​​"Albu Kamal” Syrian area, adjacent to the Iraqi al-Qaim district was subjected to bombings.

Arab media reported that "these explosions targeted the headquarters of factions belonging to the Popular Crowd Units, including the headquarters of (Al-Abdal), (Haidarion) and (Iraqi Hezbollah) inside the Syrian territory which resulted in deaths and injuries among the elements of those factions."

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the blasts were caused by blasts from unidentified planes so far.

Iran deploys in Albu Kamal the following: Lebanese Hezbollah, the Iraqi Hezbollah, al- Nujaba, Fatimion and Zeinabion forces, all led by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

It is noteworthy that "Albu Kamal" is located on the southern bank of the Euphrates River, while the US military and the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF" are in the east and north of the Euphrates. Albu Kamal is also separated from al-Tanf base at the corner of the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border from the east of the Euphrates.
