Shafaq News / A security source in Diyala has reported today that ISIS attacked security spots in the north of Jalawla, causing one death and several injuries.

The same source said to Shafaq news agency that “ISIS has attacked this morning military spots of the Iraqi army in Saladin and Qaya, Jalawla. The attack caused one dead and destroyed a thermographic camera. After that, an explosion targeted forces, that were heading to the area, and caused injuries.”

Adding that “Armed clashed lasted for hours between ISIS and a Security Forces, ended when the attackers ran away”.

It’s noteworthy that last two years ago, ISIS persons sneaked into the gardens and agricultural lands in the area, and the town have been unstable since then.

Jalawla is a village in the North of Iraq populated by Arabs, Kurds, and Turkmens. The village was captured by ISIS in August and freed in November 2014.
