CTS launches an inspection campaign in Baghdad

Shafaq News / A security official and eyewitnesses said on Wednesday that a security campaign had been launched in Baghdad to search for those accused of launching the missile strikes targeting the heavily fortified Green Zone and the International Coalition and US forces headquarters.

The source and witnesses told Shafaq News agency that the Counter-Terrorism Forces (CTS) began, since dawn today, a campaign in Al-Jadriya area in Baghdad looking for suspects involved in launching rockets.

They added that the forces cut off the entrances from the main streets in the area.

US forces and interests, as well as the international coalition have been attacked frequently are frequent by unidentified gunmen suspected of being Pro-Iranian Iraqi fighters.
