Kurdistan alliance: The decision to exempt Kuwaiti and Emiratis from visa does not affect Baghdad

A member of Kurdistan Alliance , Muhsin al-Sadoun told “Shafaq News " that the decision does not impact Baghdad”.
The General Authority for Tourism in the Ministry of Municipalities of KRG announced earlier cancelling the requirement to obtain a visa to Kurdistan region for citizens of some countries of the Arabian Gulf .
KRG stated that this step comes to support the tourism sector , especially after selecting Erbil city, as the capital of Arab tourism in 2014 .
Sadoun said , " because of the trade and economic relations with these countries , then facilities in the economic and business dealings must be present , including the exemption of the citizens from the visa .
He added that “these countries have good relations with the federal government and have embassies in Baghdad and there s noting that prevents granting its citizens from university professors or traders tovisa."
The Gulf companies have came to Kurdistan in the past few years like their Turkish, European and Iraniancounterparts.
A lot of companies are coming to Kurdistan to take advantage of investment opportunities and privileges provided by the Investment Law , after the transformation of the region to a prominent economic center in the region .
A few months ago , Emaar real estate Company has launched a development project downtown Erbil by investments that reach about three billion dollars , which is one of the largest projects in Kurdistan .
