Iraq calls on China to expand participating in the development of its oil industry

According to a statement issued by the ministry obtained by " Shafaq News " , The Oil Minister , Abdul Karim Laebee received at his office in Baghdad , the new Chinese ambassador , Wang Yong as they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries in the meeting, especially in the energy and oil field.

The statement added that Laebee has called for expanding the size of the Chinese companies to participate in the rehabilitation and development of the oil industry in Iraq .

The statement added that the Chinese ambassador expressed his country's desire to develop bilateral relations in all fields , including the oil sector .

The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy , Hussain al-Shahristani has said , last Tuesday that Iraq aims to increase crude oil output to 4.7 barrels per day in 2015 .

Iraq has recently announced that it is seeking to increase its oil production to more than four million barrels per day in 2014 , while Minister of Oil , Abdul Karim al-Laebee announced plans that could raise its oil exports to 3.4 million barrels per day , including 400 thousand barrels from fields in Kurdistan Region .
