Shafaq News / The Iraqi Minister of Interior, Othman Al-Ghanimi, confirmed on Wednesday, the willingness of the Iraqi Prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, to solve the disputes and outstanding issues with Kurdistan Region.
This came during his meeting with the president of Kurdistan regional government, Masrour Barzani, according to a statement issued by the latter's office.
The statement added, "the meeting discussed the relations between Kurdistan Region and the federal government, and joint security cooperation in the border areas and areas outside the administration of Kurdistan Region".
Additionally, Al-Ghanmi pointed that, "the difficult conditions that Iraq and Kurdistan are going through amid COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the financial crisis, require cooperation and coordination between both sides to resolve all the outstanding issues".
For his part, the President of Kurdistan Regional Government expressed readiness to solve the outstanding problems with the federal government fundamentally, under the constitution, to guarantee the constitutional rights of the Region and Iraqi people.
Furthermore, Barzani expressed earlier today, his hopes to reach a "balanced" agreement with the federal government after Eid al-Adha holidays.
