Shafaq News/ The Minister of the Region of Kurdistan, Khaled Shawani, revealed on Sunday new details regarding the financial and economic benefits in the agreement reached by the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, and the Federal Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.

 

Shawani said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, that the agreement will continue until approving the fiscal budget law for 2021, highlighting the beginning of a new phase of negotiations over next year's budget.

 

He explained that according to the agreement, Kurdistan will receive 320 billion dinars monthly until approving the budget of 2021, indicating that the agreement includes a set of benefits related to control and auditing and a mechanism to solve a set of other financial and economic files.

 

Shawani indicated that both sides reached an agreement over the financial revenues of the border crossings, according to the Federal Financial Management Law No. 6 of 2019.

 

The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, pledged on Saturday to send 320 billion dinars for salaries to Kurdistan Region as soon as possible. This came in a phone call with the Prime Minister of the region, Masrour Barzani.
