Nineveh confirms new CCHF case in al-Qayyarah

The Nineveh Health Directorate confirmed a new case of Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) in a 45-year-old resident of al-Qayyarah, south of Mosul, bringing the province's 2026 total to 18, a medical source told Shafaq News on Tuesday.
According to a Shafaq News tracker, Iraq has recorded 165 confirmed CCHF infections since the beginning of 2026, including 11 deaths.
