Iraq national team to tour Baghdad in open-top bus celebrations

Volunteers in Baghdad on Friday prepared an open-top bus modeled on European-style celebrations to honor the Iraqi national team following its qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Iraqi Football Association member Ghalib Al-Zamili told Shafaq News that the celebration for the national team players will be held on April 4.
The bus was decorated with images of the players who secured the historic qualification after defeating Bolivia in the playoff match, a victory that reignited celebrations across Iraq’s sporting community.
Earlier today, the Iraqi national team delegation arrived in Al-Anbar province, where they received a warm welcome from residents.
