Iran: Attackers set fire to a religious shrine and stole its contents
Shafaq News / Local media reported that attackers set fire to the shrine of " Imam Al-Hassan Al-Mujtaba daughter" in Shiraz city in southern Iran, and looted the money of charity and vows in it.
"ERNA" agency reported that people had vandalized the shrine and looted valuable things and money in it , then set fire to parts of it, which resulted in material damage to this religious shrine.
Social media activists posted pictures of the shrine after it was burned.
Witnesses added that the police opened an investigation into the incident to find out those responsible for setting the shrine into the fire.
The director of public relations in the Endowment Department, Shiraz City, confirmed the accident, but he refused to go into details before the investigations are completed.
