A third earthquake hits Iran

Shafaq News / An earthquake measuring 4.9 on Richter scale hit the city of Ravar, in the Kerman Province (southeastern Iran), on Monday.

The Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of the University of Tehran announced that the earthquake hit at a depth of 10 km underground.

So far, there have been no reports of material damage from this earthquake.

Ravar city is one of the cities of Kerman Province and it is located to the north of the governorate , 140 km from the center of the governorate.

On Sunday, Iran witnessed two earthquakes measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale, wounding 25 people and destroying homes in a number of villages.

The extent of the earthquake reached within the Turkish border, killing 9 people and wounding 37 others.
