Victims in an explosion in Baltimore, US

Shafaq News / One woman died and three people were hospitalized in serious condition after a major explosion in a residential area of Baltimore, according to local media sources.

"Fox Baltimore" website revealed that a powerful explosion occurred in a residential neighborhood in Pikesville, Baltimore, Maryland.

He added that the accident killed a teenager, seriously injured three people, and trapped at least five others.

Pictures from the scene showed a row of houses reduced to rubbles, while rescue workers climbed onto a pile of rubble in search of more victims.

WWF television channel reported on its website, citing firefighters, that they had rescued at least three people while the search for missing people is underway.

Sources reported that the explosion was caused by a gas leak and destroyed three houses.
