The source said US President Donald Trump's direction, “Vance signaled privately that Trump was open to a ceasefire as long as certain US demands were met.” Vance also delivered a "stern message" that Trump was “impatient”, the source added, warning there would be growing pressure on Iranian infrastructure unless Tehran agreed to a deal.
Earlier, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, stated that the US cannot speak to the people of Iran in the language of threats and deadlines, clarifying, "We didn’t set any deadline for defending ourselves."
