Israel killed Saqr Nabil Mousa Al-Qaisi in a strike in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, the Israeli military said on Sunday, identifying him as a member of Hamas' "elite unit" who participated in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

The military also named Al-Qaisi as director of the Turkish humanitarian organization Deniz Feneri, accusing him of using his position there to recruit members for Hamas and provide them with financial support.

It further alleged that Al-Qaisi had recently worked on plans targeting Israeli forces and efforts to rebuild Hamas' military capabilities, saying those activities violated the October 2025 ceasefire agreement.

Deniz Feneri later denied that Al-Qaisi was its director, describing him as only a member and volunteer with the organization.

Israeli strikes continued across parts of the Gaza Strip, with several hits targeting a group of Palestinians near the Engineers Syndicate, while demolition operations were documented in eastern parts of the enclave.

Gaza's Health Ministry reported that hospitals across the city received the bodies of nine people and 18 wounded over the previous 24 hours. The cumulative toll since Oct. 7, 2023, has reached 74,237 deaths and 175,206 injuries.
