Shafaq News/ Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) on Thursday announced a successful dismantling of an armed cell affiliated with the "Army of Justice" group and the subsequent arrest of multiple members in the southeastern provinces of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Iran's official news agency, IRNA, today quoted an IRGC press release detailing the intelligence and security operations conducted by the elite Quds Force that ultimately "effectively neutralized the terrorist cell".

"The military forces confiscated an arsenal of 154 assorted weapons employed by the cell members in their nefarious schemes to execute terrorist attacks within Iran's borders," the statement said.

The press release said the Sistan and Baluchestan Public Security Police managed to dismantle a network of weapon-traffickers under their jurisdiction.

The perpetrators had been clandestinely transporting a diverse range of arms into the country, it continued. "In total, 70 distinct types of weapons were uncovered, and the culprits were subsequently apprehended."
