Yemen’s Houthis (Ansarallah) said on Sunday that they targeted Saudi Aramco’s Jazan refinery, linking the drone operation to alleged Saudi incursions over Saada and Hajjah provinces.

Military spokesperson Yahya Saree reported an “accurate” hit.

Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry noted that Aramco crews extinguished a fire at the facility early Sunday, with no injuries, but made no connection to Ansarallah’s announcement.

On August 7, Ansarallah struck Saudi-backed forces at Sahn Al-Jinn camp in Marib with a “large number” of missiles and drones. The group accused Riyadh of reinforcing forces in Yemen and warned that further military buildups would draw an “immediate and severe” response, reiterating its “siege for siege” policy and threats to target Saudi-linked forces wherever they are deployed.
