Anew coach for Barcelona team

Shafaq News / Barcelona club president Josep Maria Bartomeu announced that Ronald Koeman took over the technical leadership of the Catalan team, succeeding Quique Setien.

During a press conference held by Bartomeu and reported by the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", he said, "Yes Koeman will be the coach, and these players will continue a different project with a coach that we Catalans know very well, not only as a player but as a coach."

He added, “We are betting on him because we know him well, how he thinks, the way of playing he relies on, as well as his experience, because he was a former player in Johan Cruyff team.”

According to recent press reports, Koeman, who arrived in Barcelona on Tuesday evening, will sign a two-season contract with the Blaugrana.
