Two drones downed in Erbil and Baghdad

Air defenses shot down two drones in separate incidents in Iraq on Monday, one over Erbil and another targeting a US military base within the perimeter of Baghdad International Airport, security sources told Shafaq News.
In Erbil, the drone was shot down before reaching its destination, the source added, while no further details were immediately available.
In Baghdad, another drone targeted the vicinity of Camp Victoria, a military facility inside Baghdad International Airport that hosts advisers from the US-led international coalition. A security source said the base’s air defense system intercepted the drone and brought it down within the airport perimeter.
The attempted strike marks the third drone attack targeting Camp Victoria earlier in the day.
Security sources told Shafaq News that air defenses first shot down a drone approaching the base within its outer security perimeter. Shortly afterward, a second drone was launched toward the same area but was also intercepted and destroyed before reaching the facility.
No casualties or damage were immediately reported following the incidents.
