Authorities appoint Hadi Al-Kinani as Baghdad Operations Commander

Iraqi authorities have appointed Major General Hadi Sarheid al-Kinani as commander of Baghdad Operations Command, a security source told Shafaq News on Wednesday.
Kinani replaces Major General Walid Khalifa, who has been transferred to the Military Inspectorate, according to the source.
An official statement is expected shortly.
