Baghdad sentences man for promoting Baath Party

A criminal court in Baghdad on Tuesday sentenced a man to six years in prison for belonging to and promoting the ideology of the banned Baath Party.
Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council said the convicted individual had attended private meetings linked to the outlawed party and was found in possession of digital material on his mobile phone promoting its ideas.
