Nama Kurdish child from Sulaymaniyah became the youngest political activist on Facebook
Nama’s Page grew on the social networking site Facebook to collect about 150 thousand likes in two weeks, as most of those who write comments on the front page expects the number of fans to reach one million people and it seems that the secret is due to her activities as no week goes by without publishing a number of videos on her site.
Nama talks in her videos about the lack of water, electricity and violation of children's rights and talks about officials in the region where they promised better services.
Nariman Sabir ,Nama’s father , a father of two daughters older than her says that his daughter is different from other children , where she was able to speak at an early age, and adds that her beginning in learning to speak was by chatting with her aunt who lives today in America, so has the audacity to stand in front of the camera and has a strange ability.
Nariman, who works in the field of media explained, that chats conducted by Nama with her aunt in America made her start asking questions since her childhood, "Why Kids in America enjoys a good life and we are not you? What we don’t have electricity and water?".
Nariman talked about the first day where she started her activities on Facebook and said, "One day, Nama and her sisters were watching TV while electricity cut off so they felt sad and proposed their older sister to record a video to demand better electricity, Nama recorded the talk on Mobile and had asked their mother to publish it on Facebook and in turn their mother accepted their determine, this is the beginning of Nama’s emergence on social networking sites. "
Nama’s activities were welcomed while her parents were subjected to criticism by social activists and civilian researchers rejecting the idea of using a child in the adult political activity.
The social scientist , Lateef Hussein from Sulaymaniyah says "I oppose the use and dissemination of Nama’s videos, it is wrong to mix between the world of beautiful children and the ugly world of the party and the government, since children cannot be converted to social media and keep them away from their childish world."
Nama’s father says "I know very well what the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Children has of materials contain and I had activities on the protection of children's rights for a long time, so I think that Nama is not doing something contrary to the Universal Declaration of Human children and there is no influence on the party due to her views."
Nama today is a heroin Facebook, her whole family is with her , her father adds, "what we are doing generally, me , my wife and my daughter is recording videos of Nama and organize them together, and there are two of my brothers work in her Facebook administration and we are doing all the work through mobile."
Nama’s father stresses that they will continue what they are doing until Nama grow up and decides to make her next step, but they will decrease pressure today on her as the date of the kindergarten has approached.
