Yemeni government forces claimed to have neutralized around 200 Houthi fighters in 744 operations over the past 24 hours, military spokesperson Majed Abdullah Al-Nuzaili said on Tuesday.

Under Operation “Dawn of Yemen,” troops used fighter jets, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and snipers, destroying or damaging 90 military vehicles and pieces of equipment, according to the military.

Separately, Saudi-led coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki said forces had intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile targeting Riyadh and destroyed its launcher. A drone was also shot down over the capital region.

The Yemeni army reported repelling Houthi assaults in Taiz province, particularly around Al-Shaqab, Al-Misrakh, and Al-Aqroud to the south, as well as Jabal Han and Al-Dhabab to the west.

Yemen TV, affiliated with the internationally recognized government, reported that a girl was killed and eight others wounded, including women and children, when a rocket allegedly fired by the Houthis struck a residential neighborhood in Taiz.

Meanwhile, the Houthi-run Saba agency accused Saudi warplanes of killing eight fishermen in two airstrikes on boats off the Al-Kadha coast in Dhubab district, western Taiz. It alleged that the aircraft targeted survivors attempting to escape the first strike aboard another vessel.

Saudi artillery shelled areas of the border district of Shada in Saada province, Saba said.
