IRGC downs MQ-1 drone near Hormuz

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it had detected and downed an advanced MQ-1 drone west of the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force intercepted the drone early in the morning using a “new advanced air defense system.”
No details were immediately provided on the drone’s origin, operator or mission.
