Yazidi Kurdish activist wins an international award

Shafaq News/ The Yazidi Kurdish activist , Mirza Dinai won the Aurora Award for Humanitarian Awareness at a ceremony in the Armenian capital of Yerevan.

Mirza Dinai is the director and co-founder of the Luftbrücke Irak charity organization, which helps people in need and the oppressed people in conflict zones.

Mirza Dinai, a representative of the Yazidi Kurds has devoted his life to save the victims of Iraqi war from the Yezidi Kurdish women and children in the areas occupied by ISIS in 2014, and by winning this award he will receive $ 1 million.

Mirza Dinai will allocate the prize’s money to help three organizations of his choice to provide more help and assistance to the afflicted and needy in conflict areas.

 The nominees for this year's Aurora Humanitarian Awareness Award were Mirza Danae, Zana Bakr Mustafa from Nigeria and Huda al-Sarari from Yemen, each of which won $ 50,000.

Aurora Award for Human Awareness is an annual international award in the humanitarian field that has been awarded since 2016 to people who have     humanitarian work, presented by the Office of the Survivors of the Armenian Genocide, and Mirza Dnay is the fourth winner of this award so far.
