Syriac Orthodox Church Congratulates Kurdistan Government

Shafaq News/ The leader of the Syriac Orthodox Church Patriarch, Ignatius II has sent a message of congratulations to the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masror Barzani, on the occasion of the formation of the government.

Ignatius said in his letter, "I have done a great task to serve all components in Kurdistan Region," adding that he welcomed the parliaments’ voting on the formation of Kurdistan Regional Government and giving it confidence.”

He added that "your mission is an honorable message to serve the region with all its components and we are working to develop the relationship with the Kurdistan Region."

"I congratulate you on the warmest feelings and all members of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Kurdistan Region, I hope that God will help you in your efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region and I hope that the crisis surrounding the entire region to end soon,” he added.
