Nechirvan Barzani urges to reform Peshmerga Ministry and the establishment of a non-partisan force
Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan region, Nechirvan Barzani called for organizing the work of the Ministry of Peshmerga and the establishment of a non-partisan organized force.
This came during the graduation ceremony of the 26th session of Peshmerga officers in Zakho, Dohuk.
Barzani said in a speech, "We must take lessons from the past , establish an organized and trained force and remove obstacles to the reforms in the Ministry of Peshmerga."
He stressed that the presidency of the region "will make every effort to achieve this, and proceed with organizing the Ministry of Peshmerga."
He said that the region needs a unified military force equipped with humanitarian principles and international agreements away from any party.
He said that a special committee had been set up to reorganize the administrative and legal fields, reformulate the structure of the ministry and forces that made Peshmerga and remove the obstacles that hinder it.
