Ministry of Heath did not exclude imposing quarantine on an area in Erbil

Shafaq News / Kurdistan Minister of Health ,Saman Al-Barzanji did not rule out on Sunday quarantine "Karizan" area in Erbil, after recording infections   with Corona virus in it.

Al-Barzanji said in a press conference held today, that so far health teams have been conducting sterilization operations in "Karizan" area.

"If necessary, we will impose a quarantine on Karizan neighborhood," he added.

Meanwhile, Erbil Health Directorate sent an appeal to the participants in Karizan condolence service to submit themselves to a medical test .

Earlier, the Ministry of Health of Kurdistan Region announced that it had recorded 18 new cases of Corona virus in Erbil.

The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that it had recorded 18 new infections with the Corona virus in the city of Erbil.

The statement indicated that 8 of the infected are men, 6 women, and 4 children, all of whom were in contact with the infected person, at the funeral gathering in Karizan neighborhood, noting that the new infected people are residents of different neighborhoods Erbil.

The statement added that the total number of the funeral council infected people in Karizan neighborhood reached 32 cases.
