Kurdistan region announces availability of local agricultural crops for four seasons

Shafaq News/ The Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources , Berkerd Talabani on Wednesday announced the availability of agricultural crops throughout the year in Kurdistan region, noting to make efforts to lay a great basis for those crops in the internal markets.

Talabani told reporters on the sidelines of her participation in the third agricultural conference in Kalar district, that over the four seasons we have agricultural crops that are produced locally and what I saw today in the region proves the availability of winter crops.

"This shows the possibility of laying a great foundation for local products in domestic markets, while at the same time we are beginning to identify crops that are missing in other seasons," adding that "our farmers are slowly moving towards the production of diverse crops."
