Kurdistan prohibits the entry of Iranian drivers and their trucks
Shafaq News / The customs authorities in Kurdistan Region decided to prohibit the entry of Iranian drivers and their trucks to the region, while the cargo loads will be unloaded in Iraqi vehicles on the borders between the two sides, as part of preventive measures to prevent the transmission of Corona virus after its spread in Iran.
Shakhwan Abu Bakr, Director of Customs of Bashmakh Al-Hudoudi said in a letter circulated to the directorates of the crossing that, with the exception of fuel tanks, all imported goods must be unloaded in Iraqi vehicles, stressing that any goods with a foreign vehicle will not enter to the region.
He added that drivers of fuel tankers should, before completing customs transactions, be subjected to examination at the medical center, with the result of the medical Passover with them, then their customs transactions will be completed.
Kurdistan Regional Government has strengthened health preventive measures after the outbreak of the virus in both China and Iran, and Health Minister Saman Al-Barzanji announced on Monday that so far, no cases of corona have been recorded.
