Kurdistan Judicial Council announces conditional release of more than 800 prisoners

Shafaq News / The Supreme Judicial Council of Kurdistan Region announced on Wednesday releasing more than 826 prisoners in the three provinces of Kurdistan Region, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah and Dohuk as part of a decision (conditional release) to prevent the outbreak of the new Corona virus among the inmates in the region's prisons.

According to new statistics published by the council’s media, 159 convicts were released in Erbil, 348 in Sulaimaniyah, and 319 in Dohuk.
