Kurdistan and Iran to establish a joint commercial bank
Shafaq News/ The Head of Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,Beshoa Ahmed Mahmoud announced on Monday the intention of Kurdistan region and Iran to establish a joint commercial bank.
Mahmoud said at the Iranian-Iraqi trade meeting today that one of the necessities of effective trade is the establishment of a joint bank between Iran and Kurdistan to facilitate trade.
He pointed to the investment law in Kurdistan, saying that commercial and financial advantages have been put to investors in Kurdistan region for 10 years as the import of raw materials does not include tariffs.
He added” In paragraph 4 of the law provided for exceptions for producers who invest in Kurdistan region in production projects.”
The head of Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that companies working to establish branch offices in Kurdistan will benefit from these exemptions, adding that this applies to all Kurdistan and of course Halabja province.
Referring to the common border of Halabja province with the Iranian provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan, Mahmoud said” This is an opportunity to develop relations, hoping to take serious steps in developing trade cooperation.”
The working meeting between Iran and Iraq will take place today and tomorrow at Parsian Azadi Hotel, focusing on food stores and display markets.
