Shafaq News / Iranian security forces arrested a Kurdish journalist last week in what is believed to be the second case in the trial of those who do not use the word “martyr” to describe the former commander of Al- Quds Force, General Qassem Soleimani, according to the Kurdish “Hengaw” organization announced on Sunday.

The organization quoted sources described as "special" as saying that "the Intelligence Division of the Revolutionary Guards arrested Waheed Fattahi - a journalist from (Bawa) town in Kermanshah province in western Iran - and was transferred to an unknown destination."

Fattahi runs the “Pawh 29” news channel via the Telegram app, and this app is very popular in Iran despite being blocked by the authorities for nearly a year.

According to Kurdish organization sources, “The arrest of the journalist, Wahid Fattahi was made because of the reference to Qasim Soleimani on his news channel in Telegram without calling him (the martyr)”.

In early January, the Iranian authorities arrested a journalist working for the "News Online" news agency, which is close to Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani after he published an article in which Soleimani was not described as a "martyr."
