High-ranking delegation from Kurdistan Region headed by Talabani to visit Baghdad

Shafaq News / The Media Office of Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, announced that the latter will head a high-level delegation from Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to visit the capital, Baghdad, later on Tuesday.

A high-level delegation from KRG headed by the latter will visit Baghdad this evening,” Samir Hawrami, the spokesman of Talabani’s office said in a statement to Shafaq News

Hawarmi said that the aim of the visit is to continue the previous meetings conducted by the delegation of KRG with the federal government in order to find a solution to the differences and outstanding issues between Erbil and Baghdad.

For his part, an informed source told Shafaq News that the delegation will go to Baghdad under the direction of the Prime Minister of the region, Masrour Barzani, and the head of the current caretaker government, Adel Abdul Mahdi.

The source added that the delegation will receive during the visit the Shiite and Sunni political parties and it will visit the embassies.
