Hawrami appointed as the Assistant to Prime Ministers of Kurdistan for Energy Affairs
Shafaq News / Ashti Hawrami has been appointed as the assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, according to an order issued by the Office of the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region.
The order issued by the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region that it was decided to appoint , Abdullah Abdulrahman Abdullah, and his famous name Ashti Hawrami, to take the post of Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy affairs.
The terms of reference of the Assistant to the Prime Minister for Energy have been determined by the following points:
- Follow-up of the implementation of the decisions and recommendations and policies of Kurdistan Regional Government - Iraq in the oil and gas sector, under Article (VI) of Kurdistan Region Oil and Gas Law, No. 22 of 2007, and in consultation with the Prime Minister.
- Presenting recommendations to the Prime Minister in the energy field.
- Coordinating with the concerned authorities in the energy field in Kurdistan Regional Government - Iraq.
- Completion of special tasks assigned by the Prime Minister, in the energy sector.
- Attend the meetings of the Regional Council for oil and gas under Article (IV) of Kurdistan Oil and Gas Law, Kurdistan Region - Iraq, No. (22) For 2007, and the drafting of the agendas of meetings.
These responsibilities were assigned to the Assistant Prime Minister for Energy Affairs under Articles (IV) and (VI) of Kurdistan Region Oil and Gas Law. Article (6) states:
First: Organizing and supervision of oil operations, formulation, regulation and control of oil operations policies, in addition to organizing, planning, implementing, supervising, inspecting and auditing the implementation of all oil operations, as well as oil marketing.
Second: conducting negotiations , concluding agreements and implementing of licenses, including oil contracts completed by Kurdistan Regional Government.
According to Article 18 of Article 1 of Kurdistan Region Oil and Gas Law, oil operations include the following: prospecting and exploration to development, production, marketing, storage, transfer, liquidation, sale and production of oil or construction, establishment and establishment of any structure of machines for the purposes referred to, ending licenses or lifting any of these structures, devices, machinery and buildings.
An order has been issued to assign Ashti Hawrami in this position on 15 of this July carrying the signature of the Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region which is considered effective from the date of issuing it .
Ashti Hawrami served as Minister of Natural Resources in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth government cabins of Kurdistan Region.
