For third day, Kurdistan reports no new coronavirus cases
Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Region Ministry of Health said on Monday that it had not recorded any new coronavirus infections over the past 24 hours, marking the third day in a row that the Kurdistan Region has not reported new cases.
A ministry statement seen by Shafaq News said that the Kurdistan Region’s specialized medical laboratories had carried out 1,477 coronavirus tests over the past 24 hours: (544) in Erbil, (360) in Sulaymaniyah, (450) in Dohuk, (8) in Halabja, (51) in Raparin, and (64) in Soran.
“The results of these tests were negative,” the statement noted, adding that there had been no new recorded cases over the previous 24-hour period.
The Ministry of Health noted that the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus in the Kurdistan Region is still 337, of whom four have died and 280 have recovered.
The statement reiterated the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) call on citizens not to leave their homes in any way and abide by the instructions of the Ministry of Health to prevent catching the virus.
