Shafaq News / A number of Muslim clerics and their followers protested on Thursday, in Sulaimaniyah to demand reopening mosques in conjunction with the beginning of Ramadan, as mosques were closed to prevent the outbreak of Corona virus.

"Closing the mosques has political dimensions and has nothing to do with Corona virus," a cleric told Shafaq News, from the scene of the protest.

Another said, "We will pray in parks and public places if mosques wont be opened tomorrow."
