Assigning Allawi at the table of discussion of Barzani and an American official

Shafaq News / The head of Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani discussed in Erbil with US Ambassador to Baghdad Matthew Tueller discussed on Wednesday, the political situation and the appointment of a new Prime Minister of the Iraqi government as the two sides stressed the need to respond to the demands of the demonstrators.

A statement of Barzani's office, reported to Shafaq News, mentioned that a discussion took place about the political situation and the latest developments in the region and the assignment of the new prime minister in Iraq, indicating that emphasis was placed on solving problems and responding to the demands of the demonstrators and stability in Iraq.

He added that in another part of the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the future of the Kurds in Syria, noting that the US ambassador valued Barzani's role in bringing the Kurdish parties in Syria closer.

The statement added that during the meeting, emphasis was also placed on developing regional and American relations as well as coordination between the two sides.
