A demonstration starts in front of Kurdistan Parliament

Shafaq News/ Dozens of political prisoners demonstrated on Tuesday in front of the parliament of Kurdistan region in the capital Erbil, demanding to grant them compensation approved by the Iraqi constitution fully.

The demonstrators said that the Iraqi constitution guaranteed to support   the families of martyrs and political prisoners affected by the Baath Party and approved the material and moral compensation to their relatives and to them for what happened to them.

Protesters said that political prisoners in Kurdistan region receive less than half of their peers in the rest of Iraq.

Demonstrators demanded the parliament of Kurdistan region to vote on a resolution that makes the privileges and grant prisoners just like their peers in the rest of Iraq.
